Unit 8: Photosynthesis and Respiration
This unit focuses on the processes of photosynthesis and cellular respiration (both aerobic and anaerobic), particularly the cycling of energy between the two. Based on these processes, we describe all organisms as either autotrophs or heterotrophs. This information is useful in the next unit when we begin to discuss the classification of life.
